I went to Sea World in Orlando about two weeks ago. They seem to have a short memory about the orca thing. They did a full show with them. The trainers didn't technically swim with them, but they were in the water.

I didn't mean that they would become extinct for incorporation into the whales' diet, I'm saying the job is going away. Marine parks are closing everywhere. Some will take longer than others, but they will all run out of whales.

My skillset is not in jeopardy but my five (5) year plan (developed in 2019) is kaput!
Wuhan Virus and Executive Orders have delayed/killed off a few projects.

I will like transition (return) to vertical construction or DOT work.

If you know fiber, go look at American Tower or Crown Castle. Both own a ton of assets, and between the two of them about 50% of the towers the mobile companies are on. Also, feel free to hit me up.

I would agree that it's consolidating on that half of the business. Fiber based stuff and Layer-3 based stuff are going pretty well.
Still need to physically turn up, so I don't see that part going away, just more consolidating. Or outsourcing, like Comcast to 3rd party installers.

I just figured I'd always have the opportunity. Like the shitty song goes, "you don't know what you've got, until it's gone".

I know a higher up at American Tower and I've joked with him about a job but don't want the traveling between cell sites.

We do work for them at most of their rural towers, even maintaining an old pots lines for their generator fuel tanks and tower light beacons. If I can get another 8-10 yrs out of the industry I plan on buying some land close to the everglades and start a python hunting business, state is paying good money to clean them out.

Plus I want a critter buffet in my back yard just in case shit hits the fan with a real pandemic in the future.

HA HA, you guys are funny. Went into the nuclear field in '74 just in time for the first major hit (inflation), then TMI, then Chernobyl, then Japan. Managed to milk it for 43 years....I guess I could go build solar panels as per Kerry....Screw it, I think I'll just go ride motorcycles.

What's her job, sports marketing? I'm in Atlanta and looking for something. She can hand it off to me if she'd like.

Congratulations and well done. I hit 65 in June, but will probably go at least another year and a 3 months. Gotta be mindful of insuring the blonde woman until she is eligible for Medicare.

She was what was called the Director of Relationship Marketing. If you saw Papa Johns in connection with anything (sports, music, movies etc) she put together the deal.
