The AHRMA Trustees voted to go forward with the proposal. The powers that be have to discuss the project and agree on the details. I assume that they are doing so now. Everyone seems to want this thing to take place so they should be bending over backwards to work it out. I would bet that we hear something concrete by the end of next week. There must be a great number of details to work out but I would bet that there will be some sort of deal to allow the AHRMA modern bikes to participate.

I'm sure the next big hurdle is agreeing where to hold the event, NFMP or RRR.

I don't think that there is any question that it will be Florida.

I don't think it should be any big surprise that the Trustees listen to the members. Now that a lot of people are speaking out on what they want to happen, the Trustees have to listen. As I said when I ran for Trustee last year "It's about the Racers." AHRMA isn't about the Officials or Volunteers, it's about the racers and I'm sure hope that is true about WERA well. Hell, I'd join WERA but I don't know what use they could have for an old tired Tech Inspector living 3000 miles away.

Don't you know every organization needs someone to hand out the sillycone for the tires :D

    Hey Nomad,

How's it going. Looks like Hist Prod Hwt next year is going to be bigger by about 4 to 5 T500s that I know of. Some in CA. An H1 also out there.

Mid-Ohio was my last race this year but I plan to go for the Championship next year. So guess you'll see more of me. Gonna polish up the bike so maybe I can blind the competition some.

Sure wish WERA had a real Producion class to run. Miss running with you guys. But since the crash last year at Mid-Ohio the Proddy bike is the only bike the Wife will let me ride. And even that she would really rather not I be on.

    YAM#849 y'all watch this...

I had a talk with Tim Stancill (AHRMA trustee and racer) about this event at the AHRMA race at Tally this past weekend. He is very much in favor of this idea and sees it as a win/win proposal. He said there might be TV coverage of the event if they can work it out! I told him I thought the track was excellent, but that there was a lack of firm ground to use for pit areas. He said he'd keep that in mind as they plan for the event. Perhaps some improvement can be accomplished in the mean time?

Knowledge is Power........Take a hint AHRMA

AHRMA's website finally put the joint race on the screen......How is it that the entire racing community knows about it .......it gets put into print on WERA VINTAGE's newsletter and, finally, AHRMA gets it out .........will they have it in the upcoming newsletter? AHRMA needs to face the 21st century and have a BBS page like WERA.........are they afraid to give the members to much knowledge or a forum to communicate? Knowledge is power! Power to the racers! I guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Because this is the future .........Joint Ventures, members of each group working together for a better venue, racer to racer cutting thru the BS and enjoying the comraderie and competition of ripping around the turns - elbow to elbow

I love the smell of burning race gas in the morning. It smells like VICTORY.

Tim, don't let your job get in the way of your racing. Could you explain that to MY wife?
