1984 Homda VF100F. Some crash damage but bike is complete $1600
I think he is saying that he has or knows of a wrecked but complete 1983 VF100F that somebody could buy for $1600 and race with WERA in one of the vintage classes.
I don't know why anybody would want to do that as I don't recall ever seeing one on the racetrack. The VF1000R, yes, but it was a top heavy overweight pig.
The price stated is one digit too many.
hey "voice of reason". I have one of those in the garage. I don't know what to do with it too....the one Pecky races in the euro 4 hour series is nice...https://www.facebook.com/TeamCBProject66/
Looks like that is the VF1000R not the F. The R was much gooder with racier stuff on it. Gear drive cams and better forks and stuff.
Ad far as the one in your garage goes, you should give it to me for a street bike. They were better on the street than the R.
Are you going to Talladega in February? Itcould be a nice road trip to get south at that time of year. I think I will go.
I doubt it. im off uscra and ccs ditched the "vintage" classes in favor of "classic" classes. which means the cutoff year is 2006 rather the 1994. plan is some wera (Pittsburgh, summit, and maybe a nelson or two. plus the ahrma @njmp. also going to try and make it up to Canada with the vrra. I have a "R" its looks rough but does run. got it for a few 100 w/ title
That is rough. You should race it.
I've always wanted one of those....
Join the FB group. Always bikes for sale.
where? vrra added a period 5 class but like their P4-t he limit is 750cc LC/4cl. . wera has V6HW but looking as previous year grids/results they run that class with the modern HW classes and as a slow novice I don't want to be in the way.
Vf1000f. Yes, it is big but the base for RWS1000. I have a source for 4,000pre 90 bikes. Get your vintage project at great prices.
