I'm racing the D200 in a couple weeks and my gloves are more duct tape than leather at this point. My set is a Racer pair that's done the job nicely, but I'm not beholden to them so never hurts to look around.

What's your favorite and where should I look to find a good deal?

Best fitting and longest lasting gloves I ever had. I have the Phantom II

    Held Phantom II.
    Great stuff.

The only other ones I had that were good were the Alpinestar GP-Pro but the HELDs outlasted them.

Another HELD. Phantom 2 or Titan Evo.

There are good prices on HELD from European online retailers.

Are the Helds sized like the Alpinestar gp pro. Normal life I wear XL gloves but Alpine I’m 3X
    Thanks

Held is definitely one of the best but I really like the ones I got from One X.

My Held gloves are size 11. I believe my Alpinestar gloves were XXL.

I have a 10.5" handspan from pinky tip to thumb tip when fully extended. I have some wierdness in that my span between thumb and index finger is very wide. I always rip gloves there. The Helds have not ripped. Not the leather, nor the stitching. The Alpinestars eventually failed in that area, as the seams tore through the leather.

HELD uses numerical sizes with some half sizes and even short and long versions. Their sizing chart was spot on for me, 200mm circumference == size 8 (M)

i started on Spidi, then switched to Help Phantoms. I'm currently on my 3rd set of Heroic gloves and love them.
they take about 1 practice session in the warm, so they dont feel so fluffy inside. other than that, no break in and they crash really well.
